343 Industries recently showcased Halo: The Master Chief Collection running on PC, and offered an update on the upcoming public tests or “flights”. Though beta tests for Halo: Reach had been delayed for the sake of UI and control polish, it seems they’ll be rolling out in June. The catch is that Halo Insiders will be accessing it first.

While a date for the beta hasn’t been confirmed – though it could be after upcoming fan celebration events – there’s a chance that Halo: Reach will be playable at E3. “It’s highly likely that a representative work-in-progress flight-build slice of Reach PC will be on hand in Microsoft’s booth at E3,” said community director Brian Jarrard on Reddit.

He also clarified a previous comment about the build being playable in Microsoft Stores. “The build will not be playable at Microsoft Stores – that was listed in error. Insider flighting is getting closer though. Stay tuned for the May update blog and today’s stream for more info!”

Halo: The Master Chief Collection was announced for PC in March, having spent several years as an exclusive to the Xbox One. It will bring all the major Halo titles – Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST’s campaign, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4 – to PC players in one comprehensive package (except for Halo 5). Each game will be rolled out separately, with Halo: Reach being the first. Stay tuned for more information on the upcoming beta tests.
