One of the biggest surprises at E3 this year wasn’t so much a game, but who was in a game. Revealed at Microsoft’s conference, Keanu Reeves would be starring in a key role in CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077, due out next year. A lot has been said about in regards to Reeves in the game, naturally, and Keanu is going to be doing a lot of talking in the game itself as well. He will have the most lines of any character in the game, barring the main character player.
Speaking at an E3 Coliseum panel, which you can view below, CD Projekt RED founder Marcin Iwinski talked about Keanu Reeves in the game and how big a role he will be playing. He said that Keanu was in the recording booth for game lines for 15 days recording his huge amount of dialogue for his character, Johnny Silverhand.
“He’s the No. 2 character in terms of lines of spoken text across the entire game,” said Iwinski, before adding, “You will see a lot of Keanu and hear even more of Keanu.”
They weren’t kidding when they said they really wanted Keanu Reeves for this part.
Cyberpunk 2077 releases on April 16th, 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
