Cyberpunk 2077 Won’t Let You Attack Kids or Story NPCs

There will also be consequences for being aggressive in certain territories.

Cyberpunk 2077

For as devious and scummy as Night City in CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 is looking, there are some limits to the kind of violence that protagonist V can commit. Essentially, you can fight and kill all kinds of people but not kids or NPCs that are vital to the plot. CD Projekt RED responded to a query on Facebook about the same from Reddit user masoncool4566.

The response was that, “You won’t be able to attack children or NPCs connected with the plot but other than that you can be aggressive towards most people you meet.” The developer confirmed this to PC Gamer via email. It also noted that you can get into trouble for starting trouble in specific territories (like those controlled by gangs or police).

The urge to embody a psychotic version of V may be strong and there will be plenty of opportunities to do so, as the E3 2019 gameplay demo proves. However, you might want to dial it back on some occasions. Cyberpunk 2077 is out on April 16th, 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Along with starting trouble with a variety of characters, you can also collect multiple cars and motorcycles thanks to the garage.
