Gearbox Software has announced that a new patch will be released today for Borderlands 3. Going live by or before 3 PM PDT, the patch will seek to fix performance problems like reducing the texture streaming on PC when aiming down sights. Players who also had a lot of players on their friends list and experienced hitching should also see a fix.

Other fixes relate include a bug that could block players’ progress in the “Footsteps of Giants” and one that would cause Guardian Rank to cease functioning. The latter even resulted in players losing Guardian Rank tokens to a negative degree. Some quality of life features are also included like modified vending machines sorting items by rarity. And yes, the Porcelain Pipe Bomb has been “fixed” to prevent from instantly melting enemies.

A number of issues with multiplayer and split-screen are also being addressed. Check out the full patch notes here with some highlights below. Borderlands 3 is currently available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. You can read our official review of the game here.
