You’ve probably heard that Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 is now available. Whether it’s the peak concurrent player total on PC at launch, the company’s highest in history, or its UK sales, the looter shooter is doing well. However, there’s been plenty said about the performance issues as well from frame rate issues on consoles to the PC version’s optimization.
Gearbox is aware of these and seemingly other complaints. On Twitter, it thanks players for their “continued enthusiasm and support” and noted that improvements to performance and quality of life features were in the works. “We want Borderlands 3 to be the best game possible and are actively monitoring your feedback.” When it will release a patch remains to be seen, the developer noted that it would have “more to share soon.”
Borderlands 3 is available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It takes place several years after the second game with the Crimson Raiders fighting the Calypso Twins and their cult, the Children of the Vault. More content is on the way in the coming months including a new map and the Bloody Harvest event.
Thank you all for your continued enthusiasm and support. We want Borderlands 3 to be the best game possible and are actively monitoring your feedback. We are working on performance and quality of life improvements and will have more to share soon at https://t.co/eUsZlAuGWf. pic.twitter.com/EXCSK6OlUg
