It’s probably fair to say that no one expected Shenmue 3 to garner the amount of controversy that it did. The return of the beloved cult classic franchise has been marred in drama around last minute exclusivity deals and refund issues. But well, the game is still coming, and for those who don’t care about all that or can look past it are looking forward to revisiting the series no doubt. And today we got an older trailer repackaged in a new way.
The Prophecy trailer is actually a trailer that was shown earlier in the game’s production. It breaks down the game’s basic plot and story, as well as helps set the mood for this new adventure. This time around it features the game’s English dub, so you get a taste of that.
Shenmue 3 will release on November 19th for PlayStation 4 and PC. The Trial version of the game for Kickstarter backers will also begin sometime this weekend, so keep your eye out.
