We’re on the last legs until Death Stranding is upon us. Apparently Director and Creator Hideo Kojima has finally finished editing the launch trailer, which should come soon, and the game’s review embargo will lift at the beginning of next month. The game also got major exposure earlier in the week when it was revealed that Conan O’Brien was going to cameo in it. Turns out, he wasn’t the only surprise cameo we were supposed to get.
From day 1 Death Stranding has been anchored to celebrities and several high profile members behind the scenes in film and gaming. Apparently, Cliff Bleszinski aka Cliffy B., of former Epic Games fame, was also asked to be scanned into the game at one point, but it came at a time when he was trying to lay low and passed.
If you don’t happen to be old enough to remember, Blezinski was a key member of Epic Games when they launched the Gears of War franchise. He became somewhat of a rock star among the gaming industry for a period due to his stylish look and outspoken personality. He’s since walked away from gaming to focus on other areas. It would’ve been quite the blast from the past for those who remember that wild period in gaming.
