Nioh 2‘s beta is in full swing right now as players test their might (and their patience) playing the difficult action RPG. The game, like the first, will have a strong Japanese flair, and it’ll actually have some historical figures mixed in with all the Yokai and demons and whatnot, some of which we got a peek at today.

Via Weekly Famitsu, we got a look at some key characters that will play parts in the game’s narrative. Two of these are going to look familiar for those currently playing the beta. And they will all three be familiar to history buffs. Hachisuka Masakatsu, Shibata Katsuie and Maeda Toshiie were all generals during the Sengoku era. There are liberties taken of course, since they all have their own guardian animal, and one is a mermaid man of some kind. Check them out below.

Nioh 2 will launch March of 2020 for PlayStation 4. If you haven’t gotten into the franchise yet, the first game is actually available for free now via PlayStation Plus.
