You’ll need save data for the first game on your PS4 though.
Yesterday, Team Ninja surprised us with the release date for Nioh 2. Before that there will be an open beta from November 1st to 10th. If you played the first game and still have your save data on the same system, then you can play as William in the beta.
William was the protagonist of the first game and traveled to Sengoku era Japan in pursuit of Edward Kelley. Along the way, he meets various historical figures like Hattori Hanzo and Tachibana Ginchiyo. Of course, he also ran afoul of various Yokai based on Japanese folklore and mythology like Nue, Hino-Enma and many more.
As for Nioh 2, it’s scheduled to release on March 13th 2020 for PS4. It will feature a customizable protagonist as players choose from a male or female character. Along with new weapons, Spirit Guardians and enemies, there are also new Yokai Powers that can be exploited. The protagonist is capable of transforming into Yokai form and bashing enemies. Stay tuned for more details on the game en route to release.
If you have save data from the previous game "Nioh" on the same system, then you will be able to use the previous hero "William" in the Open Beta. Please try it out and battle with him in Nioh 2! #Nioh2 #nio2 #PlayStationhttps://t.co/WEeuQdZEDP pic.twitter.com/MmLt29kHUT
