The Witcher 3’s seen a resurgence in activity nearly five years after its launch over the past few months, thanks in large part to the Netflix series, which has resulted in CDPR’s 2015 open world title breaking its player count records on Steam, and also seeing renewed popularity on the PS4 sales charts.

Before all that though, the game also came out for the Nintendo Switch, impossibly enough, with the port being handled by Saber Interactive. The studio said not too long ago that it was working on a new patch for the game, and while you might be forgiven for thinking that it probably won’t be anything major, it seems like it might have more in store than we thought. Recently, posting on its official VK social media page, Saber Interactive said that the upcoming update will be “worth the wait”- which is an interesting thing to say for a patch of a port of an older game.

Whatever it is, here’s hoping they’re ready to share more about it soon. The Witcher 3 is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch- you can read our review of the Switch version through here, and find out more about the port in our interview with the developers through here.
