Nioh 2

Koei Tecmo has released a new trailer for Nioh 2 (as promised), setting the stage for the Warring States story. Much like the first game, war is brewing. The player will encounter a number of historical figures and battle against numerous yokai to ideally find peace.

As a mercenary named Hideyoshi, the player is half-human, half-yokai who loses control of their power… only to regain composure with the help of Spirit Stones. Along with utilizing new weapons and abilities, the player can wield different yokai abilities to their advantage. While one can expect a meaty single-player story at launch, more is on the way.

In a PlayStation Blog post, the developer announced that three post-launch DLC packs are planned as part of a Season Pass. Each has a storyline that takes place before Nioh 2 and will pack new weapons, abilities, characters and missions. Pick up the Digital Deluxe Edition and you get the main game, Season Pass and items like the Demon Horde armor set and Kodama Netsuke Charm.

Nioh 2 is out on March 13th for PS4. Stay tuned for more details on it in the coming weeks.
