Rainbow Six Siege Shows Off New Operators Gameplay And Year 5 Roadmap

Rainbow Six Siege

In its lengthy run, Rainbow Six Siege has gone through a lot of different directions for its Operators to keep things fresh. Now it’s leaning heavy into the sci-fi with its newest pair of playable character, whose non-gameplay reveal you can check out through here. Now, though, we get a look at them in-game as well as the roadmap for the whole of Year 5.

First up, the main event is seeing gameplay of Oryx and Iana. Oryx can dash through walls, barricades and knock down other players. He takes damage while he does this and only has three dashes at a time, though it will recharge as the match goes on. Iana is a defender and uses holograms to misdirect characters and other Operator’s gadgets. They can be destroyed with a single shot.

Next, we get the whole roadmap for Year 5. It’s a pretty standard affair which breaks down the new Operators, events and battle passes we’ll be getting. One thing you’ll notice is that starting with Season 3 we’ll only get one Operator with more focus on gameplay tweaks.

Rainbow Six Siege is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and will come to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. There will also be more Elite skins coming, including a Tomb Raider-themed one for Ash. You can check all of these out below.
