Final Fantasy 7 Remake has been among the most highly anticipated upcoming releases for half a decade now, but that wait will soon be over. And ahead of its release in just a little over a month from now, Square Enix have officially wrapped up development on the remake.

This confirmation comes from director Tetsuya Nomura, who confirmed in an interview with 4Gamer that Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s development is complete. As such, there will be no more delays to the game’s release- so we can all breathe easy and count down the remaining weeks.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be out exclusively for the PS4 on April 10, but if you have a hankering to get some hands-on time with it right away, a demo of the game recently went live on the PlayStation Store. Meanwhile, there will be no rest for Square Enix after the game’s launch, because they’re planning on jumping into the development of the remake’s second instalment right away. Read more on that through here.
