Elden Ring Isn’t Coming Out Soon, According to Insider

FromSoftware and Bandai Namco will "talk about it when they're ready."

Ever since Elden Ring’s announcement at E3 2019, we haven’t heard anything substantial about the game (which is in keeping with how things usually go with FromSoftware games). We have, however, head plenty about it by way of rumours and insider information, from details on its setting and open world to, more recently, some of the dynamic systems its open world will play host to.

Recently, prominent Elden Ring leaker and FromSoftware insider Omni – who’s been quite active of late – took to ResetEra once again to share some detail on the game. More specifically, they spoke about its release date. While word around the block last year was that Elden Ring might be targeting a release within the first half of 2020, according to Omni, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be able to do that.

“It should be pretty obvious by now that the game isn’t coming out June 2020,” Omni wrote. “Surely you can also comprehend that it doesn’t do me or anyone else beyond the impatiently curious any favors to start leaking internal dates that aren’t ready to be shared yet for a reason. Especially should things change. From and Bandai will talk about it when they’re ready.”

That definitely tracks given how little we’ve heard about the game, and how ambitious it seems to be, especially in comparison to previous FromSoftware titles. Let’s just hope we do hear something about a rough launch window from FromSoftware or Bandai Namco not long from now.

Until then, stay tuned to GamingBolt, and we’ll keep you updated on any new info that comes our way.
