As earlier reports indicated, Nintendo will be holding an Indie World Showcase tomorrow at 10 AM PT. The company announced on Twitter that there would be “roughly” 20 minutes of details on indie games coming to the Switch. Perhaps a stealth launch or two? It wouldn’t be the weirdest thing.
More intriguing is that this more or less confirms that a new Nintendo Direct will be taking place on March 26th. Details for the same or unknown but with Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition popping up on the Nintendo eShop, we could get a release date for the upcoming RPG. A retailer listing indicated a release sometime in May so stay tuned.
For current Switch players, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out later this week. Reviews have already gone live and the sandbox sim has received some glowing praise. Stay tuned for more details on the title in the coming days along with coverage from tomorrow’s Indie World Showcase.
