Yesterday, Sony revealed the DualSense, the PS5’s new controller, which comes as something of an unprecedented departure in a series of controllers that has largely abided by the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” for decades. Many new details about the controller were revealed, but following this, many were under the impression that the audio jack present for headsets in the DualShock 4 has been removed from the next-gen controller.

As it turns out, that’s not the case. Taking to Twitter, Sony’s Toshimasa Aoki, who serves as product manager at PlayStation, confirmed that the audio jack is still very much present in the DualSense, and you’ll still be able directly plug in headsets should you want to.

The DualSense has been confirmed to feature haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, while improvements to the ergonomics and battery life have also been confirmed. Meanwhile, other aesthetic changes have been made to the colour scheme and the light bar. You can get all the details on the controller through here.
