With the COVID-19 pandemic bringing the world to a standstill, its impact has also been felt in the games industry, and from remote work to retail issues to pending rating reviews, there are various reasons that have led to several upcoming games getting delayed. However, it seems like – at least as far as the latter is concerned – CD Projekt RED’s upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 is on track.
Adam Badowski, studio head of CD Projekt RED, recently took to Twitter, and as a follow up to his recent update about the game having been sent out for review to rating boards, provided another update. According to Badowski, Cyberpunk 2077 has already been reviewed and handed age ratings by “the vast majority of rating boards” around the world. As a crucial step toward launch for any game, that’s an important milestone.
Recently, CD Projekt RED also said that they are still confident about hitting the game’s scheduled September launch date, and that they are well-positioned to tackle any forthcoming challenges, in spite of having switched to remote work.
Cyberpunk 2077 is due out for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on September 17.
Very happy to share some progress on this — Cyberpunk 2077 has already been rated by the vast majority of rating boards around the world. https://t.co/gwUXYOXpyb
