It’s only a matter of time before the PS5 and the Xbox Series X get their full reveal events. Even though E3 2020 has been cancelled, recent report have indicated that both next-gen consoles might be getting proper reveals soon, while another report has even suggested that one for the Xbox Series X is scheduled as early as May.

And a recent report on Windows Central may have shed some light on what we can expect to see from that rumoured upcoming event. The most notable piece of info that comes from that is that the long-rumoured Xbox Lockhart – a cheaper variant of the Xbox Series X – has entered the take-home feedback and testing stages at Microsoft, and as a result, the report speculates that the console might be revealed next month.

As per the report, Lockhart – or the Xbox Series S, as it calls the console – will be a 4 teraflops entry-level next-gen Xbox that Microsoft intends to essentially use as a replacement for the Xbox One X. The console will allegedly also offer “limited” ray-tracing.

The report also mentions that Microsoft will be unveiling new games at the rumoured May event. While the report doesn’t explicitly mention which games will be shown off, it does speculate that the upcoming Halo Infinite or the long-rumoured Playground Games-developed Fable 4 might make appearances.

There are still plenty of things about the Xbox Series X that Microsoft haven’t yet spoken about, and we’re curious to see when they will deem it appropriate to talk about that stuff. The console’s price, for instance, remains a big question mark, and Microsoft themselves have acknowledged that that is going to be a critical factor, so here’s hoping we learn more about that soon.

That hinges, of course, on the rumours about the May reveal event being true, which they very well might not be. Either way, stay tuned, and we’ll keep you updated should we learn anything more.
