Recently, Bloober Team announced that their 2017 cyberpunk horror game Observer would be getting a new lease of life on next-gen consoles later this year wth Observer: System ReduxThe remaster promises enhanced visuals and additional story content, but in addition to that, on the PS5, it might also end up making use of some of the console’s more unique features.

Speaking to GamingBolt in a recent interview, Szymon Erdmanski, project manager at Bloober Team, told us that those two features in particular are “a great opportunity to provide additional information about the environment,” and as such, something that the developers will look to integrate in Observer: System Redux.

“Haptic feedback and adaptive triggers seem like a great opportunity to provide additional information about the environment – crucial for every investigator – or to create even more suspenseful experience, which you cannot overestimate in the horror genre,” said Erdmanski. “We will for sure try to use these new options to enhance the dark and gritty atmosphere already present in Observer.”

Bloober Team are one of many developers that have had positive things to say about the PS5 controller’s new capabilities. Dying Light 2’s developers recently said that they could be “real game-changers,” while the developers of Quantum Error have said that their game will make use of the features as well.
