After multiple leaks and rumours over the past few weeks that Activision are planning a franchise revival for the classic, beloved Tony Hawk games, they’ve now officially announced Tony Haw’s Pro Skater 1 and 2. As the name suggests, the package brings together the first two games in the series, fully remastered from the ground up for current-gen consoles and PC this September.

Vicarious Visions – the developers of Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy – are in charge of the remasters once more. Along with bringing both games together into one package with updated visuals, the remaster will also add new features, such as new tricks, secrets, challenges, goals, and more, in addition to multiple online multiplayer modes.

Create-A-Park and Create-A-Skater will also be returning, but this time, the game will also feature a “robust” editing toolset which will allow plenty of customization for both, skaters and parks. Players can also share their created parks with other players online.

The lineup of pro skaters from the first two games is also being brought back for the remasters, including Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Geoff Rowley, Bucky Lasek, Elissa Steamer, Kareem Campbell, Andrew Reynolds, Bob Burnquist, Chad Muska, and others. Meanwhile, the developers are also promising that “many iconic and fan-favourite songs” from the original games will be brought back as well.

Activision have also confirmed that the duo will run at 60 frames per second, and on PS4 Pro, Xbox One, and PC, they will run at 4K resolutions.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 will be sold for a price of $39.99 (a $49.99 deluxe edition will also be available with “unique content and gear”), and will launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 4 (no Switch version planned for now).
