Yesterday marked the first Ubisoft Forward live stream, a digital showcase of the company’s upcoming titles. While there were a number of high-profile games like Watch Dogs: Legion, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Far Cry 6, this isn’t the end of Ubisoft’s digital showcases. At the end of the stream, CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed that even more will be revealed later.
“I’m proud of our teams for delivering an ambitious, proud, and creative lineup of games. And we haven’t shown you everything yet. In fact, we have a lot more to come. So you will have another Ubisoft Forward to reveal even more about our upcoming games,” said Guillemot.
Youssef Maguid, communications specialist for Ubisoft and also co-host for yesterday’s show, further said that the company would be “back later this year with another Ubisoft Forward filled with tons of game news and updates.” Of course, when it would be taking place wasn’t confirmed. We’ll have to wait for more information that front.
There are still quite a few Ubisoft games that didn’t receive new details yesterday. This includes Rainbow Six Quarantine, a three player co-op PvE based on Siege’s successful Outbreak mode, and Gods and Monsters, an open world action adventure that leans more into Greek mythology. The latter is still slated to release this year but it remains to be seen, especially given how packed Ubisoft’s Fall lineup is.
