Add another one to the Xbox Series S leaks pile.

Xbox Series S

Just a few hours ago, we got our first look at the long-rumoured Xbox Series S thanks to a leak, and it didn’t take long for Microsoft to come out and officially confirm the console and its price of $299. A full-fledged reveal is still to come, most likely at the rumoured upcoming press event, but it seems the trailer with which Microsoft were planning to reveal the console has (also) leaked.

Over on Twitter @_h0x0d_ has posted the full reveal trailer of the Xbox Series S. It shows the Xbox Series S from multiple angles, also comparing its size with the Xbox Series X (and touting a 60% smaller size, which makes it the smallest Xbox ever, as Microsoft states). The trailer also touts 1440p gaming at frame rates of up to 120 FPS (“up to” being the operative word there).

There are other things confirmed in the trailer as well. The Xbox Series S will have a custom 512 GB NVMe SSD, 4K upscaling for games, 4K streaming media playback, and DirectX ray-tracing support. The all-digital console also touts variable rate shading, variable refresh rate, and ultra-low latency, and is built on the same Xbox Velocity Architecture as the Xbox Series X. The full specs of the Xbox Series S will likely be revealed at the reveal event that’s now sure to come soon, but you can check out a leak of its specs through here.

Another leak earlier today stated that the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will both release on November 10, with the former launching at a price of $499. Read more on that through here.

All eyes will now surely be on Sony, who are yet to give concrete information on the PS5’s launch date and pricing. UK retailer GAME has said that PS5 news will be dropping tomorrow, so maybe we’ll have that information soon.
