Destiny 2 Xur Exotics – Riskrunner, Young Ahamkara’s Spine, Wormgod Caress

Two strong Exotics adorn Xur's inventory this week.

Destiny 2 Xur

Six years ago, Xur graced the Destiny community with Gjallarhorn. While his offerings this week in Destiny 2 aren’t necessarily as great, they’re still worth checking out. You can find him in Giant’s Scar on Io, where he’ll remain until the weekly reset tomorrow.

This week’s Exotic weapon is my personal favorite (until further notice), Riskrunner, which costs 29 Legendary Shards. It’s an Arc energy SMG whose signature perk “Arc Conductor” sees it chaining Arc damage to foes. Killing enemies in this state will extend the perk’s duration and reload your weapon’s magazine. The catch is that you need to take Arc damage to trigger the perk.

The Exotic gear this week is Young Ahamkara’s Spine (Hunter gloves), Wormgod Caress (Titan gloves) and Apotheosis Veil (Warlock helm), each costing 23 Legendary Shards. Young Ahamkara’s Spine is great for increased Tripmine blast radius and duration while Wormgod Caress sees melee damage increased for a short period of time on melee kills (the effect stacking with more kills). Apotheosis Veil recharges one’s health and ability energy once their Super is used.
