As we inch ever closer to the actual launch of next generation consoles, we are seeing the impressive backward compatibility from Microsoft’s upcoming systems, the Xbox Series X and Series S. Not only will a lot of titles be playable, Microsoft has worked hard to make sure they are enhanced. For instance, yesterday we got a look at Forza Horizon 4 and its improved lighting and loading times. We also now know that a very familiar face helped out.
As revealed on their official Twitter, Panic Button worked on the next gen patch for the racing title. You have probably heard that name a lot in the last year or so, primarily for some of their high profile ports to the Switch, like DOOM and Wolfenstein 2. This time around they are going in the other direction, but it definitely shows they are a versatile company in doing what they do.
Forza Horizon 4 is available now on Xbox One and PC. Like almost every Xbox One title, it will be playable on the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S when those launch on November 10th.
We are excited to reveal that we have been hard at work with @WeArePlayground to bring #ForzaHorizon 4 to @Xbox Series X|S. We can’t wait for everyone to hit the open roads in this version of the game which is optimized to harness the power of the new generation of #Xbox!
