Before the Xbox Series X/S launch tomorrow worldwide, Moon Studios has released its next-gen update for Ori and the Will of the Wisps. It adds support for 4K resolution (with HDR) and 120 frames per second on the Xbox Series X. For even higher visual fidelity, there’s also a 6K supersampled mode that outputs to 4K HDR and runs at 60 FPS.
Graphics and visual effects settings are set to “highest” while input response is now “instant.” Loading times are faster and even the audio has increased dynamic range and convolution reverb. For Xbox Series S, the game will run at 1080p HDR and 120 frames per second but there’s also a setting for 4K resolution and 60 FPS. All of the other perks – aside from the “highest” graphics settings – are included.
For current-gen owners, Smart Delivery ensures that you’re playing the most optimized version on next-gen. Other settings for all platforms include the ability to tweak Sharpness, Quick Access support and Backup Saves. For more details, check out the full update notes here.
