Cyberpunk 2077 is just a couple of days away now, and reviews are starting to roll out. While it’s largely been positive, there have been some more mixed reviews than many probably expected, with a lot of them pointing towards the game’s technical problems, of which there is apparently many. The pre-load is live most places now for the upcoming release, but in the meantime, there’s a PSA for epileptics that you should probably know.
As reported by Game Informer, apparently the game does feature a light pattern that could cause seizures if you are prone. The writer there, Liana Ruppert, suffers from seizures due to previous injuries and said she suffered one seizure during her time with the game and felt very close to another. This light pattern happens during the Braindance sequence, the detective mode where you enter into another person’s memory, which happens multiple times throughout the game. So, be cautious there, especially if you are prone to seizures.
Despite several high profile delays, it seems obvious the game is coming in hot from early reviews and impressions, and updates are coming. Apparently there is a major day one update for the console versions planned, for instance, so hopefully things like the above can be addressed relatively soon. Cyberpunk 2077 will release December 10th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia.
