SNK announced at the beginning of this year that they’d be releasing a patch for Samurai Shodown that would boost its performance on Xbox Series X/S to 120 FPS. That update was supposed to arrive on March 16, but it’s arrived a whole week before that, the developer has confirmed.

The update, version 2.10, weighs about 27 GB, and in addition to adding support for 120 FPS, it makes a few other notable changes. For starters, it adds the new Guard Crush mechanic to the fighter, while every fighter in the roster has also received several balancing changes. Interestingly enough, you will now also be able to pick up weapons even if you’ve scrolled off screen. You can read the full patch notes through the link in the tweet below.

Samurai Shodown is available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Stadia. SNK recently confirmed that the fourth DLC character for the game in its current season pass would be from fellow fighting franchise Guilty Gear. Read more on that through here.
