Neon Giant’s cyberpunk isometric shooter The Ascent finally has a release date. It’s out on July 29th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and P,C while launching day one on Xbox Game Pass. Check out the latest trailer below which features a healthy dose of gun play, chaotic battles, and extensive death.

Following the collapse of The Ascent Group, the player’s district is suddenly in trouble as various syndicates and corporations plot to take over. It’s up to you – and up to three other friends – to stop them and uncover the reason for the group’s collapse. Along with finding different weapons, players can utilize a myriad of abilities like domes to soak up damage, tendrils that will burrow underground and capture enemies to slam them, and more.

The Ascent is aiming for 15 to 20 hours of playtime, though this could increase based on the number of side missions and Codex entries that one locates. It will target 4K/60 FPS on Xbox Series X with the developer currently looking at 1440p/60 FPS on Xbox Series S, 4K/30 FPS on Xbox One X and 900p for Xbox One. Stay tuned for more details on the title in the coming weeks.
