Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, a companion title to the current action MMORPG, is now available free worldwide. In the West, it can be played on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC while those on PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch (via the cloud) can play it in Japan. Set in a large open world landscape, New Genesis streamlines many aspects of the base game, providing cleaner interfaces, improved visuals and a much more welcoming start. The story takes place on alpha with ARKS battling against mysterious enemies called the DOLLS. As the Meteorn, who arrives with no memory, the player must fight against the DOLLS to save Halpha.
Along with new enemy types and mechanics, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis also has improved visuals, bringing the title more in line with current games. Even more content will be coming in the next few months including the new Braver Class, Defense Quests and Mag Evolution Device Share System in August.
