WARNING: There are spoilers ahead for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and (possibly) future Assassin’s Creed Valhalla content.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is going to continue to receive expansions and content updates for the foreseeable future, what with Ubisoft currently being in the early processes of developing the live service title Assassin’s Creed Infinity, and it seems one future update for Valhalla might introduce a major and beloved character from the series’ recent past.

Well-known and reliable Assassin’s Creed leaker j0nathan has managed to uncover some quest data and dialogue lines while datamining Valhalla that seem to suggest that in a future update, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey protagonist Kassandra will be added to the game.

The quest in question will take Valhalla protagonist Eivor to the island of Skye in Scotland to track down a person alleged to be Randvi, who is at the heart of some mysterious circumstances on the island. That person will turn out to be Kassandra, who, as fans have pointed out on more than a few occasions, looks quite similar to Randvi (the wife of Eivor’s brother, Sigurd).

In spite of the two games being separated by several centuries, Kassandra showing up in Scotland will actually make sense in context of the narrative developments established at the end of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which shows Kassandra acquiring a staff that basically renders her immortal. She is shown to be alive and kicking right up until modern day, where she even meets present-day protagonist Layla Hassan.

Of course, there’s no telling when exactly this quest will arrive, but it would definitely be worth looking forward to. Not often do we see Assassin’s Creed protagonists actually meeting each other in the flesh.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. Its next expansion, The Siege of Paris, arrives on August 12.
