Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6

Fortnite recently added a new Impostors mode, which is a straight-up rip-off of Innersloth’s incredibly popular Among Us. Many Innersloth devs have recently took to Twitter highlighting the similarities down to the map layout for the game mode.

Programmer Gary Porter shared a layout of Fortnite Impostors’ Submarine map alongside Among Us‘ Skeld map, which looks strikingly similar. While he wasn’t around during the time of creation of the Skeld map, he still feels offended nevertheless. Community director Victoria Tran also took to Twitter to voice her opinion on the matter, stating that it would’ve been cool to collaborate for the mode instead.

Tran’s sentiments are largely understandable, since Fortnite‘s implementation of the mode can be considered as a blatant rip-off, since there’s been little to no effort on Epic’s side to innovate on the concept.

Innersloth recently revealed that console versions of Among Us are still in the works, and that it would launch on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
