Ember Lab’s Kena: Bridge of Spirits is out and getting some pretty good reviews (you can check out ours here). Like many action adventure titles, it has more than its share of boss fights. How many bosses can you expect and how do you go about defeating them?

Before we get into that, here are some general combat tips:

  • Healing in combat is done with the help of the Rot. However, they will use any nearby flowers for the same. Most times, there will only be a few nearby so it’s recommended to be conservative and not constantly spam healing unless you really need it.
  • The Rot can also be used to unleash powerful attacks, which require Courage. This will siphon off any opportunities for healing (until Courage is built up again) but it’s still worth keeping in mind if you’ve already used up any available flowers.
  • Get comfortable with dodging. Parrying is also an option but it requires more split-second timing though it’s not necessarily as unforgiving as, say, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Still, if you’re unsure about a boss’s attacks or simply want to avoid taking damage, dodging is the way to go.

For more tips and tricks, you can check out our guide here. Without further ado, let’s take a look at all of the bosses in the game. Spoilers follow so be warned:

  • Wine Knight
