Game Overview:
Ghost Recon Frontline was a free-to-play multiplayer tactical first person shooter developed and published by Ubisoft.
It was announced in October 2021 in celebration of the Ghost Recon franchise’s 20th anniversary, but development was cancelled less than a year later following negative reception for the game’s reveal.
A new report claims that Ubisoft has been cancelling its projects because they were "not what gamers wanted", while delays have been happening to release more polished products.
The company announced the same during its recent quarterly earnings call, citing fiscal reasons but not elaborating on the same.
It was originally slated to go live tomorrow for EU players on PC. The development team said it will share a new date "as soon as we can."
Ghost Recon Frontline will feature various modes, one of which has been described as "a new take on the battle royale genre."
Ubisoft confirms it will be announcing a new game in the Ghost Recon franchise later today to celebrate the series' 20th anniversary.
