Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo 7 celebrates car culture in a number of different ways, from racing to visiting the Museum and learning more about each brand. However, a large part of the game involves car collecting and while many can be earned as rewards, you’ll be spending Credits on the rest. Credits are also necessary for purchasing parts to tune your car with. Given the sheer number of cars and parts, a lot of Credits will need to be spent.

While you could spend real money to purchase bundles of Credits, there are other ways to grind the same in-game. The first and most obvious route is to race but the GT Cafe allows for mixing things up in some interesting ways. It provides Menu Books with objectives like placing in the top three for a championship or collecting a certain number of cars (usually three). Completing these will provide Roulette Tickets for random rewards, from Credits and Gold Bars (which confers tons of currency in one go) to car parts and actual cars.

While racing, it’s important to play through the Circuit Experiences since they provide a good amount of Credits for little time spent. Try to unlock the GT Cup Gr. 4 race in the High Speed Ring as soon as possible since it can provide 65,000 Credits in one go (with a Clean Race Bonus providing an additional 50 percent on top of that). Unlocking it requires players to complete Menu Book No. 4 in GT Cafe though you’ll need a qualifying car.

In that case, the GR Supra Race Car ’19 is recommended since it can be earned by completing the International B License Test (though you’ll need the National B and Nation A licenses beforehand). Other options for Credits include Goodwood’s Clubman Cup Plus. You’ll need the Mini Cooper S ’65 to enter but it can be earned from Menu Book No. 3. Coming in first with a Clean Race Bonus nets 52,500 Credits. Then there’s the Sardegna Windmills race which also awards somewhere in the vicinity of 65,000 Credits though it can be more difficult than the others due to requiring Dirt-style vehicles and racing skills.

Keep in mind the PP requirements while racing – resist the urge to purchase a brand new car if you don’t have a specific option. It can be less expensive to simply swap out parts to increase or decrease the PP rating, thus contributing to saving Credits in the long run. Make sure you think twice before spending too much on upgrades as well, unless you’re confident that the vehicle in question can win. Finally, you’ll get rewards for placing second and third in a race as well so don’t stress too much about always getting first. If a race isn’t working out, try coming back later once you unlock more parts and better cars.
