Overwatch 2

Pseudo-E3 has already kicked off courtesy of the recent Summer Game Fest. While there are still showcases to come, Blizzard Entertainment will be hosting a live stream on June 16th for Overwatch 2. It will outline “what comes next” and maybe offer details on the next phase of beta testing.

However, in a recent tweet, senior game designer Dylan Snyder revealed, “We’re just one week away from the next Overwatch 2 live stream, and I think y’all are going to be *very* pleased.” Perhaps an open beta announcement along with making it available for all platforms? The reveal of a new hero or new heroes (which are then stealth-dropped with the next test phase)? Some new PvE footage to go with a release date tease?

There’s plenty that could happen but we’ll keep our expectations in check. Overwatch 2 is in development for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch. You can check out our biggest takeaways from the recent closed PvP beta here. In the meantime, stay tuned for more details from next week’s live stream.
