Marvel’s Avengers Update 2.4 just went live, which made a lot of changes to the game’s economy- and Crystal Dynamics has now revealed details about the upcoming Update 2.5. Undoubtedly, the biggest addition with Update 2.5 will be the addition of Mighty Thor a.ka. Jane Foster.

Foster will have her own Hero Challenge card, a heroic mission chain that would reveal how she ended up in this universe, alongside a selection of cosmetic items and lore in the form of Intelligence Files. The Goddess of Thunder will naturally have her own special moves, with her Intrinsic ability being called All-Mother’s Blessing and her Overcharge ability being The God Tempest. Her Ultimate, the All-Weapon takes inspiration from the character’s comic appearances.

Crystal Dynamics has also shared plans about what’s in store for the long-term. The developer will add two new Warzone challenges to bolster its villain-centric content, with the first revealing more about M.O.D.O.K’s fate after the defeat of his Kree Sentinel. The challenge will be set against AIM’s Cloning Lab, which will act as a new endgame activity for collecting high-level loot. Crystal Dynamics says that the team has shifted its design philosophies and focus to keep Cloning Lab more villain-focused.

Marvel’s Avengers will be sold off to the Embracer Group as a part of Square Enix’s sales of Crystal Dynamics and other North America studios and properties, though that could require Disney’s approval- read more on that through here.
