Flying Wild Hog’s third-person shooter Evil West has received some extended gameplay footage courtesy of IGN. It offers a better look at combat along with some of the environments and enemies that protagonist Jesse will encounter. Check it out below.

Along with over-the-shoulder shooting, Jesse can also close in on foes for some quick melee combat. You can knock smaller enemies into the air and either slam them down or send them flying into environmental objects. Various perks and weapon upgrades added further layers to the combat, like shooting a weak point and returning ammo to one’s weapon.

Of course, the art direction can’t be understated either, especially when venturing through mysterious caverns and moody forests. Evil West is out on September 20th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Pre-ordering grants the Wild Wild East Pack which provides a new outfit and five weapon skins. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming months.
