Steam has announced the dates of its yearly Summer Sale for 2022. Steam Summer Sale 2022 is set to kick off on June 23, and will go on until July 7.

Alongside the announcement of the sale’s dates, the company has also released a video showing off some of the games that will be available at discounted prices throughout the sale.

As is usually the case, the Steam Summer Sale in 2022 will also feature season-exclusive Steam Trading Cards, that can be used to create badges for your Steam profile. There will even be mystery badges before the sale kicks off.

While gearing up for the Steam Summer Sale and dealing with the recent launch of the Steam Deck, Valve has been pretty quiet about new developments for its digital storefront. Back in February, Valve CEO Gabe Newell spoke about a potential for Steam own competitor to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass, and even integrating Xbox Game Pass with Steam.

Newell has also discussed the volatility of cryptocurrency and NFTs in gaming. When asked about NFTs and cryptocurrency, Newell stated, “With the actors that are currently in this NFT space, they’re just not people you are wanting to be doing business with.”
