Fatshark has captured a sizeable audience with its Vermintide games so far, and there’s little doubt left in anyone’s mind at this point that the developer is more than capable of delivering solid first person action experiences set in the Warhammer universe. With Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, we’ll be getting more of that later this year, and ahead of its launch, more details on the game are continuing to filter through.

Recently in an interview with SegmentNext, for instance, Fatshark’s head of design Victor Magnuson revealed tech details for how you should expect the game to look and run on consoles when it launches in a couple months’ time. On Xbox Series X, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will target 4K and 60 FPS, which is what you’d expect, given the hardware’s capabilities. On Xbox Series S, meanwhile, the game will target the same frame rate, at a resolution of either 1080p or 1440p. There’s no word yet on whether there are any current plans for different graphics modes.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide launches for Xbox Series X/S and PC on September 13.
