Exploring the world of Stray can be tough, especially as a cat. Some objectives require gathering items, but you can’t just walk into every location and pick them up. Some require ingenuity, like when you meet Clementine in Midtown and have to fetch an Atomic Battery from the Neco factory. Upon meeting Blazer, Clementine’s contract, you’re asked to retrieve a Worker Jacket and Worker Helmet to serve as a disguise for him.
The Worker Jacket is inside of a clothing store, but the owner gets mad when you try to steal it. Instead, you’ll have to follow several steps to distract them. As for the Worker Hat, you’ll need to go to the hat store and wake up a sleeping robot. Check out the video below by Kibbles on YouTube for all the steps to acquiring both items.
How to Obtain the Atomic Battery
Once you get all these items to Blazer, it’s time to sneak into the Neco factory and retrieve the Atomic Battery. The mission can be a bit tricky since you’ll need to be stealthy and avoid the Sentinels patrolling about using a barrel. Eventually, you’ll come across three pressure plates – two of these must be pressed at once to obtain the battery.
Before this, a robot can be ordered to follow you. When near the pressure plates, a second robot is present behind a security wall. By using the first robot, you can jump over the wall and then interact with the second to have it follow you to the room with the pressure plates. Once you and the two robots are in front of the Atomic Battery, have the robots stand on the left and right pressure plates. Hop into the barrel from earlier and roll onto the third pressure plate to unlock the Atomic Battery.
How to Get the Poncho
Another item requiring several steps to obtain is the Poncho. It’s needed to get help from Elliot, a robot in the Slums. After crossing the main bar, you’ll find a house with a red door. Upon entering inside, Elliot can be found near some computers. He’ll ask you to get a Poncho to help stay warm. This takes you to a Granny robot who will provide the Poncho in exchange for an electrical cable. For more details on the entire quest and all of the steps, check out the video below by Gamer Guru.
How to Find the Paper Bag
Finally, there’s the Paper Bag. This isn’t needed for any particular mission or side quest but helps unlock the Trophy/Achievement “Curiosity Killed the Cat.” First, find a Paper Bag. They’re present throughout the game, but the first is in the Slums in Chapter 4.
Go to Morusque where the robot musician hangs out. Look to his right, and you’ll find a Paper Bag. Interact with it and the cat will stick their head inside, which messes up the controls (and unlock the Trophy/Achievement). After a few moments, it will fall off and you can either proceed normally or go back to its original location to repeat the process.
