Firaxis has released a new trailer for Marvel’s Midnight Suns, this time around focusing on various gameplay aspects for Wolverine. This follows a spotlight trailer, as well as a Hero History trailer for Wolverine.

In terms of playstyle, Wolverine’s moves focus on his use of his adamantium claws to chain damage between multiple targets. He’ll also taunt enemies, and has the ability to self-heal.

Wolverine also has the ability to focus his multi-target abilities on to a single target to deal massive damage using the Full Combo ability.

His self-heal also has a twist. It triggers every time the player re-draws a Wolverine card, granting Wolverine some health. Level 2 grants even more health. The twist is that if Wolverine goes down in a fight, he’ll draw the Rapid Regeneration card which instantly revives him with 50% health. This Rapid Regeneration card is only available to use once per fight.

Wolverine can also use Rapid Healing that, alongside healing him, also cures him of negative status effects. This card can also be played when Wolverine is incapacitated.

His Stink of Fear card lets him taunt every enemy in an area, alongside giving him the ability to counter attack. This means that Wolverine can quickly destroy hordes of smaller enemies.

Capping off the showcase is the Midnight Special card, which uses all the Heroism you’ve saved up so far to unleash a massive flurry of attacks on random enemies. The number of attacks depends on how much Heroism was spent to play the card.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns recently got delayed to FY 2023, and is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
