Asobo Studio has announced that A Plague Tale: Requiem has gone gold roughly two months before release. It’s out on October 18th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch (via the cloud), with pre-orders now available.

A new gameplay overview trailer was released yesterday, providing more details on the story and the abilities that Amicia and Hugo can utilize. Along with her trusty sling, the former is equipped with a crossbow and can brew new alchemy recipes to gain an advantage. Levels also present more opportunities, like igniting tall grass to burn enemies. But be careful – they can adapt to your different tactics.

Hugo has also gained more control over the Macula and can manipulate the plague rats in numerous ways. Whether sensing enemies through walls or conjuring a swarm to devour enemies, they provide an overwhelming advantage. Hugo suffers whenever using his powers, so you must decide whether a situation warrants them.
