Indie developer Shedworks and publisher Raw Fury have announced that Sable is coming to PS5 later this year. The open world exploration game launched for Xbox consoles and PC last year, taking players to a desolate planet with gameplay focused on movement, traversal, and music.

The game’s PS5 version will also bring a few new features, including a new fishing minigame, the ability to display fishes and insects in your Vivarium, a new Angler Mask, and more. Meanwhile, Sable will also support the DualSense’s haptic feedback, with Shedworks promising more immersive exploration of the game’s dunes.

In our review of Sable, we gave it a score of 6/10, saying, “Take away the technical issues, and Sable is a pretty good game. It’s not great, because some fundamental design issues do hold it back, but it would still be worth checking out. As it stands, however, the game is a mess technically speaking, with frame rate drops, pop ins, crashes, hard locks, and long loading times. If there is a good game in here, it’s really hard to get to, and it might be best to wait till after some of the technical issues have been ironed out.” Read the full review through here.

A specific release date for Sable’s PS5 version hasn’t yet been announced. Check out its announcement trailer below.
