When Team Cherry first announced Hollow Knight: Silksong what seems like ages ago, the indie developer confirmed that the Metroidvania title would only be available for PC and Nintendo Switch at launch. That has changed in recent months, with the game also adding Xbox platforms to its target launch platforms back in June. Now, it’s completed the set and added PlayStation as well.

Taking to Twitter, the official PlayStation account recently confirmed that the highly-anticipated sequel will also be available for PS5 and PS4 when it releases- whenever that is. No, there’s no new gameplay footage to dive into, no new material details to latch onto in their absence, and still no word on when the game will launch- but PlayStation players should nonetheless be happy to know that the game is not skipping their platform of choice at launch.

Team Cherry itself has said next to nothing about Hollow Knight: Silksong’s launch date for a good, long while now, but earlier this year, Microsoft stated that the game would be out sometime before June 2023. In this era of delays, there’s never any guarantees, but hopefully the game will be able to stick to that timeline.

Whenever it launches, Hollow Knight: Silksong will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It will also be available via Xbox Game Pass at launch.
