Criterion Games officially announced Need for Speed Unbound last week, and its focus on street racing feels like a return to what made Underground so good. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long to see some new gameplay. The franchise’s official Twitter has confirmed a reveal tomorrow at 8 AM PT with a short GIF showcasing even more stylish graffiti effects.

Need for Speed Unbound is set in Lakeshore City, a Chicago-inspired metropolis. The story sees the protagonist drifting apart from their friend following a robbery at a family auto shop. Determined to retrieve a “priceless” car, the player enters various races. Races will have buy-ins, with money lost if you lose. You can also make Side Bets against specific characters.

Launching on December 2nd for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, Need for Speed Unbound will have over 140 cars at launch. Electronic Arts has confirmed free post-launch updates with more details to be revealed. Stay tuned in the meantime.
