The wait for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has been a long one, but new details on the highly-anticipated RPG have, nonetheless, been filtering through in bits and pieces. Earlier in the years, EA and BioWare officially confirmed the game’s title and revealed its logo, and the slow and steady build up to its launch is continuing.
In celebration of Dragon Age Day, BioWare recently took to Twitter and kicked off the day’s celebrations with a new cinematic for the upcoming Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. Though BioWare describes it as an “in-game cinematic”, it’s more of an animated teaser, diving into the backstory of Solas, a.k.a. the titular Dreadwolf.
Those who’ve played Dragon Age: Inquisition and its Trespasser expansion will be familiar with the content of this cinematic, but it serves as a handy recap, while also setting up what’s looking like an epic face-off against Solas in the upcoming Dreadwolf.
Whether BioWare and EA have more to share on the upcoming RPG in the coming days remains to be seen, but fans will certainly be hoping for a substantial showing in the not-too-distant future, especially with The Game Awards coming up.
Recently, BioWare announced that the RPG had hit a major development milestone, and was playable from start to finish. As per reports, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is targeting a late 2023 launch, and will not be a cross-gen title.
Elven god of lies or heroic rebel against tyranny? Depends who you ask.
