Square Enix has previously said that the pixel remasters will launch for additional platforms if there's enough demand.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster

Following its announcement in 2021, Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster saw a staggered launch that brought remastered and modernized versions of the original six mainline Final Fantasy titles into the limelight. The catch, of course, is that the six remasters remain available only on PC and mobile devices, even amidst demands for ports on consoles. It seems, however, that that might end up happening soon.

As it turns out, the ESRB has rated Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster for PS4 and Nintendo Switch, with the remastered versions of Final Fantasy 1, 2, 3, 4, 5and 6 all mentioning them as target platforms on their pages on the website. Unsurprisingly, this has led to speculation that Square Enix could announce the long-awaited ports sooner rather than later- though of course, the lack of mention of Xbox as a target platform might concern some.

Shortly after its announcement, Square Enix said that Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster could launch for additional platforms if there was enough demand for it. Read more on that through here.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is currently available on PC, iOS, and Android.
