Sega has released the demo for Sonic Frontiers on the Nintendo Switch to western markets. The demo, originally available exclusively in Japan, can now be downloaded for free through the Nintendo eShop.
The Sonic Frontiers demo on the Nintendo Switch weighs in at around 2.9 GB, and allows players to check out the opening zone of the game. While not really providing a complete taste of the full Sonic Frontiers experience, the demo does allow players to take a look at how well the game performs on the Nintendo Switch, and how fun it is to play.
Despite being the first open-world Sonic game, Sonic Frontiers has been quite successful for Sega. The publisher revealed back in December that the game has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide.
Developer Sonic Team has a host of additional content planned for Sonic Frontiers throughout the course of 2023, including additional story content, more game modes, and even new playable characters.
Sonic Frontiers is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch. For more details, check out our review.
