Though it’s still a few weeks away, the hype is palpable for Mundfish’s Atomic Heart. After numerous delays, it finally launches on February 21st after going gold earlier last week. To further build hype, Focus Entertainment has confirmed a new gameplay trailer for February 1st, 5: 30 AM PST which features over eight minutes of footage.
What will be showcased is unknown, but the trailer’s description says it will showcase the “intrigue, setting, characters and deep mechanics” of the shooter. Atomic Heart is a mix of RPG and first-person shooter action with some immersive sim elements. Taking place in an alternative history Soviet Union, it sees players venturing into facility 3826 to stop its rogue robots.
Releasing on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC, the shooter promises a solid 4K/60 FPS in dungeons and “mostly” 4K/60 FPS in open environments on current-gen consoles. Stay tuned for more details on the resolution and frame rate on the previous-gen. You can also check out some leaked gameplay footage here.
