Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance might not have the massive fan-following that mainline Metal Gear games do, but it is, of course, still widely regarded not only as one of developer PlatinumGames’ best games ever, but also one of the best action games of all time. Soon, the Japanese studio will be commemorating an important milestone for the game.
Taking recently to Twitter, PlatinumGames announced an event to celebrate Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance’s 10th anniversary. Set for February 21, the developer says it will unveil new anniversary art for the game. Whether that will be the extent of the celebrations remain to be seen, though fans will be hoping that the studio has a little bit more up its sleeve.
Recently, Quinton Flynn, who voiced the character Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, seemed to hint at an upcoming announcement related to Metal Gear. Meanwhile, Konami has also hinted that more of its beloved franchises will follow in Silent Hill’s footsteps with long-awaited reveals. As per leaks, that will include a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, developed by Virtuos.
